This Psychic Development course has been designed to guide beginners and intermediate students through a safe and sensible process of progress. The author and teacher Barbara Venn-Lever shares with you her knowledge of many years because she wants you to remain empowered and in control of your experiences. Whether developing in a group or in a solitary capacity Barbara will explain to you how to listen to your own intuitive understanding as she wishes you feel in control of your experiences through gained wisdom and knowledge. Bright Blessings and welcome to the College of Esoteric Studies. The Universe tends to guide us to where we need to be, the first lesson is always learning to listen to these whispers from the Universe. The second step is testing the inner prompting and trying something out, whether it is going to a certain place, picking up the phone to someone we suddenly think of, purchasing an article or going to a meeting of some sort. We know when it feels right to do so.

Without putting ourselves in any unhealthy predicaments we can, with wisdom, find the balance between our logical common sense and our intuitive sixth sense. Whatever thoughts come into our minds, whatever we perceive, believe, see or feel we ultimately make more informed decisions about them when we have some knowledge of them. I have for many years worked, taught, written about and practiced many forms of intuitive esoteric subjects. These range from dowsing and divining, the art of reading the tarot, practicing many forms of healing, mediumship and clairvoyance, to name but a few. I have sat in other people’s classes, seen demonstrations of spiritual mediumship and listened to many lectures and seminars.

I had my own Mind, Body and Spirit shop for fourteen years and along the way I met and talked to many wise and wonderful people, as well as those not so wise. I have seen fools and charlatans and sincere and wonderful people. Along the way I have gained much experience, I have been tried and tested and it is this experience that I share with you.

This course will teach you much about yourself, the world you think you live in and the world you actually live in. Studying this course is a process and at the end of the process you will have grown, changed a little and become more of an awakened co-creator in your own world. One who is able to read the sign, omens, hints and guidance from the Universal Oneness. You will be more psychically attuned.

Q. Is it best to tell people everything you pick up psychically?

A. As much as we are only a channel and need to be as honest with our interpretation of what we perceive we must always check that our source of inspiration has come from a good and wise place. Just because someone or something resides in a different dimension it does not mean it is goodness and light. I am a firm believer that we are responsible for any help or hurt we convey and therefore we have the right to query, challenge and reject that which may not come from a high source.

I was once told by a stranger that their guides had sent them to me because I needed healing and would die quite soon. Luckily for me I believe that we should never give our own power away to others unless we choose to. I challenged this person’s guides with love and light and found that they soon backed off. I advised them to test out the wisdom of their guidance and to make sure that they were working at a high enough level. Needless to say I am alive and well many years later.

‘Let me work at my highest spiritual level I can today, with the highest level that can reach me. Let us meet in the middle and work for the greater good at all times.

Inspiration.

Ask yourself why you wish to become more psychic and to what purpose you will use this skill. Is it to impress or is it to serve and support others in some way? When we have this gift we have to use it wisely. When we grow in enlightenment we need to balance our psychic with our spiritual understanding for then we will understand the Universal law of cause and effect and the responsibility which comes with that understanding.
