ASTROLOGY
Course page
Astrology is a
fascinating subject and within this astrology page you can find
details of the latest in books and details of our wide variety of

professional astrologer. Even though I had learnt the basics of
astrology, it was a course in astrology that taught me the correct
way to calculate the chart and the wide variety of astrology that
there is. If you want to practise astrology then this is one area
that a qualification is expected and for that we would recommend our
complete certification course which represents excellent value for
money. We will try and answer a number of questions here and if you
have one please email

Managing Your Health and Wellness by Diane L Cramer,
Published by Llewellyn ISBN 9780738708492
Understanding health through astrology is a fascinating
subject and indeed there are few books that even touch the
surface of it, and certainly even fewer in depth and aimed
at the beginner.
Diane’s book is from the Astrology made simple series by
Llewellyn and includes chart calculation software. The book
is great in that it takes you through each sign and house
and planet listing the illnesses possible with each
placement. However, it is a book that can be used as a
guideline only and it is knowledge and experience that will
help you decide whether a particular illness is relevant to
the chart in question.
The chart calculation software is designed not only to print
out a wheel but give an interpretation, unfortunately this
becomes a bit of a hypochondriac’s wish list as the average
chart will show a potential 100 plus or more illnesses. Also
the interpretation software does not analyse the aspects
between planets which is a key identifier of illness areas.
In all though this is a very useful reference book for the
astrologer but information should be used to help understand
an illness rather then diagnose and prescription.

I have been told I
am born of the cusp and I cannot tell which Zodiac Sign I am.
Star
Answer
A
Cusp is just the boundary from when the Sun changes from one
sign to another such as from Aries to Taurus. Because the Sun
changes signs on a slightly different day each year if you are
on the cusp of the sign you might not know which Zodiac sign you
are. However, an astrologer with your time and place of birth
will be able to calculate the exact sign you fall in.

Interpreting Natal Astrology - Author
Cat Javor |
| |
Natal Astrology
is the study and interpretation of the horoscope
drawn up for the moment of birth. The horoscope,
birth chart or nativity as it is sometimes called,
is calculated by taking into account the time, date
and place of birth. The horoscopic chart is a map,
in the shape of a wheel, showing the positions of
each of the zodiac signs and the planets of the
solar system for that moment in place and time. This
course does not cover how a chart is calculated, but
rather how it is interpreted. This course will include 10 modules, covering the study of the 12 Astrological Signs, Triplicities, Quadruplicities and The Angles, the 12 Astrological Houses, the Luminaries – Sun and Moon in the Natal Chart, the Inner Planets – Mercury, Venus & Mars in the Natal Chart, Jupiter and Saturn in the Natal Chart, the Outer Planets – Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in the Natal Chart, the Major Aspects in the Natal Chart, Astrological Patterns and the Moon’s Nodes in the Natal Chart. |

Horary
Astrology - Author
Kim Farnell |
| |
Horary
Astrology is the name given to a branch of astrology
that casts a chart for the moment that a question is
asked and provides an answer for that question by
examining the chart. The rulerships of the planets,
signs and houses are taken into consideration. Only
those parts of the chart that have direct relevance
to the question are studied. With its strict rules,
horary astrology can be a very speedy way of using
astrology for someone who is adapt at it. No birth
times are needed as the chart is drawn up for the
time of the question. |

Electional
Astrology - Author
Kim Farnell |
| |
Electional
astrology is a traditional form of astrology used to
find the best times for undertaking any activity.
Instead of analysing a chart for a person or for an
event that has happened, you choose the most
auspicious time for something to happen by deciding
which astrological factors are most important to
ensure success. Any event that is important to you,
and that has a definite starting moment can be
planned in this way. Elections are commonly done for
wedding dates, new business launches, house moves
and important journeys. It is not necessary to use
birth charts in conjunction with elections, although
students who have already learnt natal astrology may
find it useful. However, this course assumes no
previous astrological knowledge and is suitable for
complete beginners. |

The Planets by Dava Sobel Fourth Estate, ISBN 1857028503
Although not an astrology book, This is a book that would be
well recommended to be read by every astrologer particularly
if you are just beginning on your studies. Dava presents the
same approach that she did to her acclaimed work ‘Longitude’
to the discovery of the planets, the moons and our Solar
System. It’s a fascinating and easy read while imparting a
great deal of knowledge and in the ideal start to the
fascination of the stars, and the furore with the recent
discussions on the planetary status of Pluto.
